Is it possible to put power steering into a 69 Camaro? what is the expense or do I even want to know!

Yes, mine came from the factory with it. Move over to the suspension forum. Everything you want to know about the conversion is there.

Expense is minimal. You can handle it.

Mark...I too am working on that same decision. I may just do it also. There are many ways to cover this one. You can go pure factory, which I may do. Or...you an upgrade, use a faster Gen3 box, with cool looking power steering pump and braided lines, and on and on. If you plan on doing a pure factory, you need to make sure you get a box that is a fast ratio. Search here for the exact info but I think you will want a 3 1/2 to 1 or 2 1/2 to 1. Also, beware of the ebay guys selling "complete" kits. They may be good parts, but not always the most correct looking. They do work fine, however some members here have had some issues. Just check carefully. You just need to decide what you want. For me, I may throw the big $$$ and buy the Heartbeat City kit for 69Z's, which runs $775, but includes everything down to the flat washer. They allege this is a totally correct kit. From the pictures, it appears so, but I will call first anyway. Good luck and do some searching on this site, tons of info.
