Ok, i'm having a simular issue as a previous post....

I have a 396 big block / 4 speed/ MSD Ignition / New everything...

WOT @ 2800 RPMS, it hesistates, but then comes out of it and goes.
It seems to hapen in any gear even on the highway going 65 cruising, if i mat it, it breaks up for a second then comes out of it...

Anyone have any suggestions please?

More details. Is that the ONLY time it hesitates?

Based on your limited post, I would say accelerator pump shot, but it would hesitate all the time...................

If i drive it normal it dosnt hesitate. It idles fine as well...

It only does it when i punch it in any gear at any speed.

It only hesistate for a for seconds then clears up.

how are your plugs looking. Might just turn the idle mixture screws out a little to fix this(you actually drive around on your idle curcuit at low rpms, so if your crusing at 1200 rpms and punch it in high gear you will have a little flat spot) If that dont work put them back and try a larger squirter, or just adjust your accell pump. If that dont work I would say you are a little lean, and need to go up 2 in jet size. Do you know how to adjust your accellerator pump? Either way your accell. pump should take it out. A little more timing might take it out to

I have the accel Pump set for maximum suirt of fuel....

maybe the accel pump isnt functioning preperly.

I will try the idle screws. How to determine the accel pump working?

look down in the carb. and you should see a full squirt of fuel with the lightest tought of the throttle. If you dont see a full squirt the instant you start to open your throttle, you can adjust the nut down(make sure you dont adjust it to much down that it bottoms out). If you see a full squirt and still have a hesitation you can increase the size of shooter to get more fuel faster. Increase 3 sizes at a time intill it fixes it. I usually order a few sizes bigger if I order some. Also I forgot to mention to make sure your float level is correct before you do anything, and its a good ideal to see how much fuel pressure you have

Ok just for safety sake, you can check what justin said with the motor off, Id hate to see you check the accelerator pump and have it backfire while running. Eyesbrows are in this year. running or not you can see the full squirt. And like Justin said, it should sqirt the instant u touch the throttle. Even a slight delay in the squirt can cause it hesistate. If this car is falling on its face, then after about 1 - 2 seconds taking off. id bet its a accelerator pump.
