So I replaced my standard column with a tilt column for my 69 camaro

I bought a new ignition lock and was able to get the old one out, the problem is that I cant get the new lock cylinder in-it only goes about 3\4 in and I cant get the key out at all.:mad:Ive attempted to adjust the ignition switch but that didnt work either.....

Ok im getting old, i used to do this in my sleep, now thinking about it im forgetting a bit. If i am correct, once you get the cylinder part way in, i think you have to turn the key a bit to get it to lock in the rest of the way. Lemme know if that doesnt work. You shouldnt have to adjust the ignition switch . Unless it was out of adjustment before, or unless you bent the rod somehow during removal.
