I hardly ever use my boot, because it's so difficult and time consuming to install
And then, when I do use it, any speed higher than 35 mph or any head wind will make it flutter like crazy
Are boots ever known to come undone and fly away if all clips are in place and properly latched? Any way to avoid this?
Thanks for any thoughts
The first step in the boot not lifting at the back seat is putting the top down properly before installing the boot. I found following the factory instructions and reversing the 2 folds made all the difference in how my boot reacted when driving.

We have a saying in my trade: If all else fails, try reading the manual
I've just gone down to the car, and sure enough, I've been doing it wrong, which is all the more stupid considering this is my second Camaro (Then again, my first did not have a boot. It almost didn't even have a top!)
I thought the only reason the convertible manual existed at all was to be able to show it to the admiring crowds, but it seems like the old wisdom applies to Camaro science as well.
Thanks a lot from a very embarrassed spaniard :o:o:o

Full dress rehearsal yesterday: Complete success at 75 mph!
I did have to coax that second fold into the top. Seems like nobody had ever done this to it before, so the crease just wasn't there. Will probably be easier in the summer, when the material is softer
Thanks a lot, Dennis and Jon

A while back someone was nice enough to post a copy of the instructions for folding down the top. Maybe someone would be nice enough to do it again so it could be printed out. Please........
