What should I be looking for.

I bought what was supposed to be one off of ebay, but it's not even for a quadrajet.

So...it's going back for sale as soon as I can figure out what it's from.

Anyone have any ideas of where I could locate one? What would you expect to pay?

Jason, you should be looking for a 3919803 intake. They're on ebay all the time:

There are a few others but with stupid prices.

HERE'S (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/67-68-Corvette-Chevelle-Camaro-Intake-3919803_W0QQitemZ120234650310QQihZ002QQcategoryZ33 613QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) what you should expect to pay.

What's the casting number of the one you bought?

The 3872783 was used in 1966 on Full Size, Chevelle and Nova 327/275 W/O A.I.R. It was also used on the Corvette in 1966 and 1967 on the 327/300. Check the date code to narrow it down a bit.

the only other markings I see of J255

*EDIT*

September 25, 1965 correct? What would that make it out of?

J 25 5 is October 25, 1965, which would make it for the 1966 model year; could have been for a 327/300hp Corvette base engine or full-size, Chevelle, or Nova with a Holley 4-barrel. Very common manifold.

well...it was a good night, happened to find one on craigslist 10 minutes from here, just got home with it. :)

Now I just need to bead blast it.

Good price. Congrats. Is it the date you wanted, or did you even care about dates?

didn't even look to be honest - I'm doing a "sympathetic" restoration. I'm using OEM parts, but it's not going to be a show car, so if the intake is off a few months it doesn't bother me.
