I bought a 95 Z just over a year ago with 53000 miles on it. I put 20k on it last year without a problem. It suddenly got hard to start> I had it to a shop and they replaced the coil and that fixed it for a while. The problem has returned. It cranks fine but does not fire right away and sometimes wont until it decides it wants to. It seems to be starting fine when cold. Someone help me my baby is sick!

Check the basics. Put a timing light on, does the light flash when she's cranking?
And check the fuel pressure.

Hey you guys were right. check the basics and another bad coil was almost right. The guys that changed the coil should have caught this. the coil wire was badly corroded and broken at the coil end.that is why she never threw a code. it died in a car wash and i had decided to change the cap and rotor and found the coil wire broken while disassembling. thanks
