OK I'm knee deep in my side glass installation and I'm wondering if there is any way to get power to the regulators and control them to go up and down to ease the installation of the glass and also to test the fit and make adjustments. I don't have a wiring harness in the car right now...that's why I'm asking.

I use a jump box.

as don said, jump box or battery will work.

OK. But I need to know the procedure for doing it. Someone told me a few years ago about using finishing nails on the clamps and then sticking them into the holes of the switch plate receiver on the harness but I don't know if that's a good idea.
