Alright guys now that it's getting warmer out and I finally got my car out of storage I want to get it looking nice with a good waxing. My question is can I wax my roof/door pillars? I know it may sound stupid, but my roof is black (standard on like 93-95 I think...) and we were wondering if that's just regular paint on there or if it's like the somewhat plastic trim stuff. The reason I ask is because my brother waxed his Cavalier on the door pillar where there is a piece of that plastic trim stuff and it took some of the paint off and made it look like ****. So yeah...basically will it be safe to wax my roof with the rest of my car? Thanks guys!

AFAIK, you can wax anything on a car that is painted. The roof (above the quarter panel) and connector between the T-tops on my NBM 02 Z28 is painted black and it gets waxed right along with the rest of the car.

If you're not sure test a small area 1st.
