I ordered a bypass hose for my car from Ground Up and I got a straight hose. My car has a curved hose on it. All the '69 hoses seem to be straight when I look in the catalogs. Who's got the right hose for me? Will the curved '68 hose work?

Why don't you just go down to your local autoparts store? You only need a molded curve somewhere in the right diameter hose. Then cut it to fit. Unless you're looking for 'date correct', concourse stuff.

I thought the originals were straight, and just bent, rather than having a molded curve. It's only about a 15 degree bend.
If your's is bent, it may be because it's been in the same position for 39 years.
nice combo, by the way!!

I put it on today and the straight one will work, but it's too short. The bypass fitting is exposed on the intake and the water pump. The hose is 4 1/2 inches long.

Tip #1. Always look though boxes of parts because you might already have what you need.
Problem solved. I apparently bought a bypass hose and clamps years ago from Rick's and forgot about it. The one I bought then is longer and fits just fine.

Ya know, I did that last year with a new diff-yoke nut. But yesterday, when in need of a new woodruff key for the new refer compressor on my sailboat, I LOOKED AT THE COMPRESSOR. There it was, on the shaft.

Nobody sells, not even GM, BBC bypass hose. I have found the closest to OE is bypass hose for a SB Chrysler. Cut to fit, nice fit, too!
A straight hose does not work, it kinks.
