I bought a lower alternator bracket. It is basically shaped the same as my SB bracket, but it is flat w/o any offset at all. It has the spacer for the AIR pump. Does this sound like a BB bracket? Anyone with a picture?

The two will bolt up, but the s/b is a little longer than the b/b. My original 427 2 bolt had a s/b alternator bracket that had been bent (curved) to make it shorter, so it would align with the alternator.

Gary, I am just trying to ID what I bought. My SB bracket on the car works fine.

I understand, I was trying to point out that the attachment holes are the same between the b/b and s/b and that the length of the two was close enough that the s/b one can be "massaged" to fit.

The shapes of the two are very similar, but as I recall, the s/b one is a little narrower at the tip. (and like I said earlier, a little longer. Look in Rick's catalog, I'll bet there are pics of both.
