How hard is it to modify the front end to support the RS headlights, etc.

Most aftermarket suppliers make such a kit. Just checked Classic Industries Cataloge For the meger sum of $929.00 you too can have a RS conversion Kit. Merry Christmas graemlins/beers.gif

Do it the cheap way. Find most of the parts you want (used) on ebay. As far a how hard it is to convert...? it aint easy.

Judging from the number of RS's I see with crooked headlight covers, the hardest part must be getting everything on straight.
