Has anyone had any seat belts restored and how is/was the final product. My original belts are a little discolored and my shoulder belts are faded pretty badly. Any info/names/prices would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks much..........

Bob, I used to do a little belt resto work on the side, how is the chrome on your belts? Standard or deluxe?

I inquired with http://www.ssnake-oyl.com/ a few months back and they wanted $150 per pair to restore your originals...that would include reconditioning your original buckles and brand new webbing with correct stiching...date coded tags are extra (I think they said $15 bucks each)...OUCH a little to expensive for my taste. I was lucky enough to find a complete (front and back) date coded set (if that is important to you) on ebay (after about 2 years of searching) for under $300. I cleaned them up with soap and water and buffed the plastic myself...they turned out great...

Bob, the worst part of standard belts is the chrome quality. If the chrome is good, then the resto is easier. If the chrome is rusty or has pits, then I cant help. Seat belt resto can be clean and detail, or clean and re-dye webbing or replace webbing. This issues would determine price. I would like to help you, not sure if I have time to help. :) maybe I can give you some pointers, so you can do most of the work yourself.
