which cowl hood would you use . aii right repo`s are cheap so are they worth the time or is fiberglass the better way to go. factory are kind of high. which fits the best and what problem with what hood . 69RS

Do a search on cowl hood. There's quite a bit of info. The consensus seems to be that Goodmark makes the best cowl hood. $249 at their site but may be somewhere else cheaper.

Just an FYI:

I bought a repro cowl hood from Classic Industries back in '98 and it was perfect.
Just screwed it onto the hinges, and all the seams lined up. I don't remember who made the hood....but so far the few I've seen from Classic have been good.

when i get my hood, i'am going with goodmark....built in air box.

Steel is heavy. Only drawback to the Goodmark hoods I've seen is the cowl is pretty high seems like. Lots of fiberglass available but the prices do get high.
