Amyone know the torque for the bolts that hold on a replacement ball joint. I can't find it anywhere. Also, what grade bolt should you use? I have two that broke off when I tried to loosen them.

the answer is: 25
as for the bolts, just get the grade 8. super cheap at the local hardware store.

I read a thread ( hey that rhymes) just want to make sure, bolts go in from the bottom and nuts on top? I'm just replacing whats already there, two of them broke in half and I don't trust the other two. They could have been on there for 35 years for all I know.

It really doesn't matter, but Mark at SC&C suggests putting them in from the top, not the bottom. "Just in case" the nuts come loose I guess :).

Yep, she's getting to the point where I can go the distance now. I got my driveline balanced and it quit the vibration at 70, so I can cruise 'til the gas runs out. Let me know if you and Fred get together. I will try to make it.
