I have been patiently waiting for some nice weather and today is the first Cruise In night over in the next town. It's a nice 60 mile round trip drive for the Camaro but no........... it is sptting snow and misting rain and it SUCKS!!!!
My wife was even going with me to sit and watch al the other cars and people and we were going to kind of have something like a date!
Oh well, I guess we'll just have to sit here tonight and watch NASCAR this eveing...

That's really got to be frustrating this time of year! where in Mo. are you? I spent a few years out there when I was younger and (no offense) absolutely hated it!!!

I agree completely. After a nice weekend last, it's been cold damp and rainy since, including this weekend.

Well Dan....

Its been raining here about 5 weeks now and it sure has washed away any road salt and sand. Its sunny and 61 degrees and I have had enough. I got home from work at 12:15 pm today, went into the garage, pulled the Camaro out and took it for a 3/4 hour spin. Its the first time in almost 10 years that I took it out before June 1st....and it felt good. :D Don't think I'm rubbing it in. I do feel sorry for those who have and still are going through the winter mess.

SUPV26 I feel you pain more than ever. I've known for some time that Michigan is a bad place to live, but after the last 9 days I spent in Tucson with friends who live there I'm really considering leaving Michigan for good. Problem is I've got a great paying job that would be pretty difficult to match. My wife has a standing job offer anytime she wants to move to Tucson, with a significant increase, we found a great house only a few years old near the Catalina mountains a friend is is getting ready to put on the market and another friend works in real estate says she'll work the papers for us, so all that's missing is my employment!

Well one week back in Michigan and it's constant gray skies policy, rain, snow and 30 mph winds and my wife is really leaning on me to pick up and leave here. It's the middle of April for %&*^ sake, enough of the winter weather already! I admit I really hate it in Michigan 75% of the time myself. June through October is about the only time I can stand it here. Economy is the worst in the nation, weather is one of the worst, the constant gray skies is just a killer. I understand the heat in the southwest, I've been there through the summers, but Michigan has nothing to offer for me. Hope your weather breaks soon. I don't look for Michigan to get nice weather until end of May.

I hear you 100%
My twin brother has lived in Tuscon since the early 80's and has never once regretted getting out of MO. My folks and sis live here and I have a great job. My wife owns/operates her own business so moving is out of the question for us. I will be a able to retire is less than 10 years so our plans are to hibernate the winter in Tucson when I retire. We are going to get a 5th wheel toy hauler to take the MC's and live in Tucson during the winter. I will either set up a location on my brother's 5 acre place to use the RV or find a place to rent for the times we are there. MO is great in the summer but sucks in the winter!!! LOL

It's pushing 90 here today! Shorts, sandals and a tee shirt for my sons baseball game at 2:00 this afternoon. There are plenty of bad things to say about California, but the weather isn't one of them.

SUPV26 your plan sound similar to what I was hoping for. As painful as it is to stay in Michigan, I was hoping to ride it out another 6 years, then move or at least look at some property in Tucson for the winters. Wife is pretty convinced we need to move in the next year or two at the most. She is even talking selling her GTO if it helps it happen sooner. I think I'd sell the Camaro before I'd let her do that. Maybe I'm not long for Michigan. I know I sure hate it here anymore. I don't think it got out of the 30s all weekend and the wind is just terrible here, nothing but farm land so it blows constantly.

Yep, almost too hot here today, attended a car show at a Marina near San Francisco today, sunny, clear, temps were in the high 80's had lots of fun, got my first sun burn of the season...lol....Like Scott says, there are issues out here for sure, but nothing beats a nice day out with you favorite muscle car... Hang in there guys, the weather will change for the better soon... A few shots from todays show...  :beers:

yesterday the last bit of snow melted from my yard (nw wisconsin). BTW my uncle and his girlfriend (he's been through 3 wives so no more marriage) have been driving a big camper through Texas and Az every winter, they love it. They spend more and more time in Az, especially Havasu area and Yuma. I keep telling him to keep himself alive so I can join him in 15 years (or maybe I can just 'retire' now??).... I graduated from high school in Phoenix so I know it's a great place to live. Lots of classic cars with no rust too.
