Totally Camaro UN-related, except I own a pretty darn nice 500+ hp '67 vert!

I am involved in a motorcycle project, as I am most of the time. This time I am actually building a bike out of an old '78 Yamaha SR500. The bike I am building is called a street tracker.

I am in desperate need of reviving the finned cylinder and head prior to putting in the new piston and valves. Which method will give the the best appearance after blasting. I will not be painting, but want the best appearance (luster) possible out of these aluminum pieces.

THANKS VERY MUCH in advance. I plan on embarking on the blasting today or tomorrow.

I'd go for the shell blasting with reduced pressure, say 25-45 PSI. Practice to find the right pressure.

I PBM (Plastic Blast Media - button holes) blasted stock cast alum wheels and the process removed the brake dust/tar when nothing else would. The process did not affect the finish, I want to say the reduced air pressure helped.
