Search for a member 68z28sd or something like that. He lives close to there and is a member here and at CRG. My grandparents lived in Parkston, by Mitchell, but other than that, I don't know much about the area.

Well they did some looking and the distributor is not turning. Hopefully it just sheared the key on the dist. drive. Called a tow truck and is being towed to a Chevy garage. We will see if any of those mech.s (kids) know what they are doing. Hoping in a big way that we didn't bend some valves or anything. The car was just idling when this happened so keep your fingers crossed for us. Thanks so much for the reply. I did a quick internet search and found a number for a corvett club and the gentleman was very accomadating. These clubs are the best.. Thanks again. Eric

Hello and thank you so much for the offer. We sent the car to Lithia Chevy, had to tell the mech. how to remove the dist.cap but found that the dist. drive was not the problem so possibly a broken cam or trouble with the gear drive timing as the chain was replaced with a gear drive by PO. I conned a buddy into taking a trailer down there this evening to pick them up 6.5 hour drive from here but he just said no problem. Thank you again for the offer Eric

His buddy was bringing that camaro back to ND from east coast, he just bought it :) present for his wife and his buddy and spouse were taking a vacation to fly out and drive it back. I see a good long story coming out of this.
If you run into problems around Fargo, let me know, I have contacts near there that are car guys. :)

Get pics of it as it come along the interstate into town, along the road to your place, create a neat story with pics and narrate it later with pics of your buddy and his wife, their stories along the route etc. :D
We love a good story in here Eric.

They pulled the Dist. and the pin and gear were fine so it must be the timing gear drive or a broken cam Anticipation is killin me I havn't even seen the car in person yet.

When you get pics and a few chapters ready to go, post a new thread in BENCH, thats where stories are more commonly put and read by the folks.
