View Full Version : Repro front inner fenders TOM BARKLEY Apr 12th, 08, 09:12 PM Anybody had any experience with the repro front fender wels on fit etc ? no69x-44 Apr 12th, 08, 09:47 PM Looks good but don't expect a perfect fit with fender alignment. Once you have it all together you will have manipulate it to get the fender to line up and fit correctly. Eric Kammerer Apr 13th, 08, 07:58 AM When I got the repros, I compared them to the one GM (passenger side) that came with the car. Stampings were generally in the right places, as were the bends. When it was time to do final install on the GM fenders, the inners were just like any other repro sheetmetal product. Close, but not quite. I had to oval a few of the mounting holes, but nothing major. Overall I'd say they fit pretty well. sspecialk Apr 14th, 08, 12:21 PM I agree with Eric as I just installed both on my 69 car. They are a bit thinner material than the original but in my case they fit just fine. I was really suprised as I figured they would be a chore. Anyway for the repro stuff I had seen and used these were some of the better items. My brother in law installed a pair on his 67 car and did have to do a small amount of ovaling of the holes but overall they went pretty well too. Good luck.:D TraxUnderground Apr 14th, 08, 12:35 PM Just like everyone else and all the other repop parts I installed, they needed to be tweaked, but so did my GM nos parts. Good luck ! |
