NOTE: I HAVE PHOTOS... TRYING TO UPLOAD! SORRY... went and looked at another Camaro. It was totally trashed out. even the primer will have to be re-done. I did notice something unusual. (I think its unusual) It was a 3 speed automatic but had a 5 leaf suspension with 10 bolts. it has power disc front breaks with the fuel prop valve. Owner states it's the original motor and tranny and it looks like it is. It even has the cool: PTB stamped on the firewall. (I was informd earlier about this: Paint, Trim, Body). I don't think this car was ever taken care of. It does have the original quarterpanels and windows. My reaction was to maybe get it cheap and sell it at Pamona this weekend? AGAIN, TRYING TO POST PICS! any thoughts base on this info. OH YEAH, it's a NORWOOD X11 on cowl tag

What's the code on the engine pad?

Had one last year that was almost the same, except it didnt have the valve on the subframe. All #s, HD engine, TH350, PDB, PS, AC, X11, multi leaf 10bolt.

Last seen on ebay being rep'd as an SS car.... go figure....

Dave, to be honest.. I was wondering if it could have been an SS at one point but it's never been restored or messed with and doesn't have the SS hood or springs. but it could have been possible with that combo. the motor read: TO9I5DD. seriosly, this thing was in bad shape, I don't know how it kept it's glass and quarterpanels... thanks! (still working on pics.. I've really been counting on T.C. to help me find a camaro and hate not having pics)

DD is a 307/auto. Wont be an SS if the date on the engine lines with the car and has the partial VIN.

Pics are simple if you create a photobucket account and upload the pics from your hard drive.

307? that's the one they introduced to save fuel? wasn't a very popular motor... not to talk money or anything, but I can probably get this car for $9000 or so. he's just trying to get rid of it and was offering it at $12,500 he's a young guy who needs the cash. (and I'm the old guy with the cash...). Heck Dave... even the seals and molding are cracking and worn out. If I knew how to restore, that would be a different story.. Yes, I have Photobucket.... still working on it.

PART 2: Why would they bother with a multi-leaf rear-end for a 307? (this may not be the original engine after all.)

(this may not be the original engine after all.)

I would suggest a thorough examination of any car you are looking to purchase, including all #s and parts/components.

Dave, I try to. It's not easy when you feel you are pushed for time. I can see where it pays to have someone who knows cars take a look also.

I now notice in my pics, which will be on here shortly, that it has air conditioning equiptment on the right-hand side but not the rest of it. and that is why it might have the 10 bolt w/multi leafs?

$9,000 Sounds high for a totally trashed 69, that is most likely a 307 car.
I don't think you'de do well on a flip with this car, sounds like it would be tough just to break even based on the description you have given. Unless you want to do it for the experience I'd walk away from it.

Run away... if it is bad as you describe, $9k is way too much.
