I just but my wife a '08 GMC Acadia, Red Jewel Tint. I am going to wax every paint surface on it and was looking for inputs on to what to use. I have been using Mequiar's Deep Crystal system for years and was wondering if I should do the 3 step process for the first wax? (Cleaner/Polish/Wax) I don't mind the labor, I just want to get everything protected before we start driving it. I'm looking for maxium protection on all the painted surfaces and a great shine on the visible paint. Should I use a clay bar??? Anybody use NXT 2.0 wax?

I would clay the car first.
New cars can pick up lots of impurities in the paint when being shipped.

I was sold on Liquid Glass when a co-worker waxed his metallic red car..... but I know nothing about it's durablity as I waxed my car about every 2 weeks with it. Sure looks good tho.....

The NXT 2.0 is awesome.

I second that. I use it and really like the results.

ReJex. Far better than anything I've ever used.I have a whole cabinet of waxes and they're just getting stale. Easy to work with also. Liquid Glass a fairly distant second, and 'glass is good stuff.

Thats all that needs to be said! New bc/cc paints do not need wax, thats old school and goes back to the laquer era. You need a solid polish system with uv protectents and sealers imo. Zaino is the best thing out there for that deep wet shine!
