I have a 67 RS and the headlights use to work fine but know they open but wont close. I changed the relays and the limit switches and I still have the same problem. I am not sure what headlight switch I am suppose to use since they all say exc 67rs any advice would be appreciated. Thanx, Mark

Check the diode under the dash up by the ignition switch. Look at the diagram from this website http://www.gvtc.com/~rlaa/ for the 67 - 69 rs console gauge & headlight pdf. You can get the diode from radio shack Catalog # 276-1661 (http://www.retro-electro.net/FAQ.html), I paid like $1.90 for a pack of 3. It fixed my problem. I had to take the gauges out of the dash to replace the diode. You can use a basic electric tester to see if the diode is bad.

I had the same problem and one day I was playing around under the dash when all of a sudden, BAM, the doors closed. I happen to hit the ignition switch. Make sure the ignition switch is making 100% contact. You may want to take it out, pull the plug off, and clean it up and reinstall. Try the diode like 1st 67 said and then the switch.
