I'm preparing to take off my side window weather stripping and door handle removal on my 67 Camaro in prep. for painting. please advise on how to do this (don't care if the old stuff is damaged since I'm getting new). Also, how about recmmendations on books out there to assist in prep. for bodywork (taking off above mentioned items. I plan to have the car painted professionally but wanted to try and do some of the pre-prep yself.

Others here, please correct if I'm wrong, but, I believe the weatherstripping is part of the vent window frame and front track for the window is all one piece.

Carefully pop off the interior trim panel and take look. The main door handle can be removed with a 5/16 wrench removing two screws. After removing the handle, one may poke a finger inside the hole and push the flap to open the door.
