dmaita Apr 15th, 08, 10:00 AM While I do like this idea, the tach is too small:

I have seen many cars with the speedo and tach, and the rest in the center console, not the stock gauges. Does anyone sell this configuration? I read a post about this but can't find the pictures or post.
booman55 Apr 15th, 08, 10:38 AM I saw that today as well. Good idea, bad execution.
Rick's is selling it now. http://www.rickscamaros.com/product.asp?pf%5Fid=CDP%2D71&dept%5Fid=3362&cm_mmc=RFGEmail_08-_-NewProd04-_-Prod-_-CDP71
dmaita Apr 15th, 08, 11:12 AM I like the size of the speedo but every thing else is too small. And the price!!!!! A bit much.
keypilot Apr 15th, 08, 11:52 AM looks good in white but ..... $ ouch

You mean like this? http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=100956&highlight=gauges
buy a repop instrument carrier (CDP-9 at Rick's), and bolt your favorite 5" gauges in it. For a 68-69 console, AutoMeter sells a nice panel (105-10002 at Jegs) to hold four 2-1/16 gauges.
dmaita Apr 21st, 08, 06:55 AM Yes!! That is it.
67CamaroRS/SS Apr 22nd, 08, 05:55 AM I want to do that to mine, but I have a 67 and I don't really like the look of the console gauges. I would have no choice though. I need a fuel gauge. I also don't like the l.e.d. bulbs for turn signals and brake and oil. I guess I am stuck with what I have now.
tgifford5 Apr 22nd, 08, 07:57 AM The console pod you can get through Jeg's and Summit. Auto Meter makes them. Use 2 1/16" gauges with the pod.
Kilr67 Apr 22nd, 08, 03:02 PM I thought the console gauge pod by Autometer doesn't fit 67's.

It looks like a weather station - complete with wind speed and barometer

It doesn't and that's why I don't like the one that does. The 67 has its own style gauge pod. Here is what the 67 pod looks like:

It wouldn't be too bad, but I already have Autometer gauges and the OEM style gauges aren't exactly the most accurate or attractive. Plus, I would have to redo the entire gauge cluster.
