Hi...I did a search but couldnt find a clear answer. Can the Big Block Z-Bar be put in after the motor is in or does it have to be sandwitched in while lowering the motor? I'm planning on dropping my motor in in a couple weeks and didnt want to puts around trying to get it in and screw up. The car has fresh paint and I only want to drop the motor in once :) Thanks

Won't the removal of the Z bar frame bracket help? 3 Bolts?

I have done it a few times. Pull the frame bracket off then there is now problem putting the bar in after the engine goes in.

I converted from a 700r4 to a 4 speed last fall. I did this with the motor still in place. I fought for 2 days trying to get the Z-bar in. It finally just fell into place unexpectedly.

With my engine swap last weekend I left the bar in the car and it all worked out great.
