Not a lot of paperwork to go with it but it looks pretty solid. I think the resto would be pretty solid and, even for a guy like me, would be pretty hard to screw it up. Haven't seen too many of these, especially lately. The glass is good, the metal seems pretty solid, and the seller seems motivated. It's solid, man

Excuse me, Dave...but your'e looking at a first gen xp-27.cpu that is no longer in production. It can't get any better than this! Add a few options. Update the vortal drive, and give it a new coat of paint...It'll hyper with the best of them. For $3500, you've got a "barn find" on your hands! :)

Even if you never actually use it, it's a great business advertisement. I can see it now:
"Dreamweaver's hot tubs......they're out of this world"

And leave it as is...it appears to be an original "survivor". :D

I wish they'd shown a shot of the trim tag. Did anyone notice if it had power steering?

I have been trying to negotiate with him, but he won't budge. I even tried to get him to just throw in shipping, but he was afraid that it might get stolen by the Men in Black on the way, so he said local pick only.

Dreamer...If the unit is near the Roswell, New Mexico region, I know a friend of a friend who will look after that shipping for you... he specializes in that kind of trucking. :) I know for certain that he also had experience in that Area 51 up there in Nevada.

Think it is, and you're close enough to go take a test-drive
It will be easy to test for hitting light-speed - just turn on the headlights and accelerate until you can't see anymore - viola - you're going the speed of light
