I am converting my 67 camaro from a powerglide to a manual and i am dumb founded as to where the linkages are supposed to attach. i have the clutch pedal and linkages from yearone but the instructions are not that great. could someone explain to me and/or post pictures of how the linkage should look (both inside the car and outside if possible)? this would help me out greatly.

well.... at work and don't have access to any pics, but...

The z-bar pivot screw into the block right above the oil filter. There are a couple holes there, the rearmost one is the right one.

The outer z-bar bracket bolts to the outside of the framerail, offset faces in. There are 4 holes there, use the right 3, it should point pretty well up and back a little. Some of these holes are behind the inner fender, I was able to pry mine out far enough to get to them.

The z-bar pops onto the block stud and slides into the slot on the frame bracket. The curve arm points up, and goes around outboard of the steering column. It's a real beetch getting it in there. You have to take the oil filter off, but shouldn't have to mess with the header.

The long non adjustable rod goes from the upper z-bar arm to the pedal, thru the runnber thing. There will be a blockoff plate screwed to the firewall, remove it, and use the same screws to attach the rubber thing.

The short adjustable rod goes from the lower z bar arm to the clutch fork.

The return spring goes from the hole in the end of the clutch fork forward. Stock had an extension for the spring, and the front of that attached to the motor mount. Sometimes these attached to a tab on the exhaust manifold. Many of us with headers just lose the extension and use a hose clamp to attach the spring to a header tube.

You have received the 68-69 frame side pivot bracket that everyone sells as fitting 67-69, which it will if you drill an extra hole.

We have discussed the 67 only frame side bracket a number of times. Here's a good thread with some pics.

If you do an advanced search for "pivot bracket" and my username, a bunch more threads will come up.
