Thank you. pdq67 Apr 20th, 08, 12:38 PM Stock here.. Staggered starter bolts mean's it's a big one. pdq67 Fred Ficarra Apr 20th, 08, 06:10 PM I think you just measure the diameter, if the clutch is off. Very few of our cars were made with the small stuff. powershift Apr 20th, 08, 07:42 PM Mark one tooth With white paint marker rotate the motor by hand and count the teeth. Very easy. JimM Apr 20th, 08, 08:05 PM Very few of our cars were made with the small stuff. Maybe very few (like none) of your big blocks Fred, but ALL 6's, 327's, 307's, and 302's used the small flywheel Fred Ficarra Apr 21st, 08, 12:12 PM Maybe very few (like none) of your big blocks Fred, but ALL 6's, 327's, 307's, and 302's used the small flywheel I knew I was sticking my head out with that one Jim. I'll write down your post! pdq67 Apr 21st, 08, 04:31 PM My 350SS L-48 used the same stuff the BB's did back then, big flywheel and stagger bolt h-d starter. You can tell the h-d starter b/c it will have a copper spacer tube that's like 7/8" long between the case's field coils and the front of the Bendix. pdq67 |
