I purchased a GM crate motor 250hp/350tq 5.7 and im curious if you guys know what voids warrantys. I want to add a cam to it before it goes in, do you know if this will void it? Or can i only add specific ones.

Hi, I thought you could change the cam, heads, intake, headers, carb and long it was nothing with the lower part of the block. The GM site specifically tells you exactly what you can and can not do. Cant remember about the cam though.

This might help. Check out the web site. http://www.gmperformanceparts.com/Parts/faq.jsp#faq16

14.)Can I replace parts on my GM Performance Parts engine without voiding the warranty?
Yes. However, GM will only warranty engines and components against a defect in GM's material or workmanship. The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, negligence, or damage caused by the installation of parts that are not approved by GM.
