I tried this in the Transmission section with not response. I figured this may be the place for it. Anyone got any input on this unit?

I have a Rock Crusher and wanted to see what it actually came from if this is possible. Not sure what all numbers would be required to accomplish this I will advise what I have.

It has a tin data plate on the shifter cover and the numbers on it are
6271517WJ

There is some numbers on the seperator plates in the middle of the trans and the best I can read one series of numbers is
128573576

there is also another set of numbers/letters and they are

P2S22C

Any help is appreciated.

On the vin 128573576 the 8 is probably a "B" if so It looks to be out of a 72 Chevelle

You could be right. I had a hard time reading that series of numbers. Thanks for the reply. Looks like it will reside in my 69 for some time to come. We had it in a 66 Chevelle and it is great.
