I have a pretty newb question on some electrical. I've taken my car to a few automotive parts places and had a few people look at a piece I need to replace, but no one seems to know what it is. One of the places told me Chevy stopped making this piece entirely a few years back.

If anyone knows what this piece is, can they please enlighten a frustrated mind? =) Thanks for your time!

Sorry, I was in a hurry to post it. It's a 1986 Chevy Camaro.

Ok, I have some new information on this piece. It's a 5-prong flat wire connector for a Radiator Fan. That sound about right?

You are correct. It plugs into the fan relay (14084351). If the connector isn't broken you can get replacement female push-on crimp terminals that go into the connector. This will solve your problem of having an inch of bare wire hanging out. They make a little tool that's inserted into the relay end of the connector to release the crimp terminals and they just slide out the wire end. You cut off the old terminals leaving about 1/4 inch of bare wire, crimp on the new terminals and slide them back in until they snap into the connector. There should be flat male tabs on the relay 1/4 inch wide. Take the relay off so you can see the under side and measure the tab width. They sometimes have two different size terminals. Let us know what you find.
