Hello Camaro guys,
I was looking at your postings about Ricks and Year one. I am close to Charlotte and bought all my sheet metal fron NPD. They let me take all of it out of the boxes and inspect them. I had to get three deck lids before I got one that was perfect. Good guys concidering I had Roof skin, Deck Lid, Full Quaters and header panel. I have an original 67 RS with all the original paperwork. I even got all the inspections fron 1967 to 2001 when the car was parked. Cool to look at them and verify the 59,000 miles. Having a complete restoration right now back to original condition. The guys think I am crazy because I didn't want chrome on the engine. I said make it like it was in 1967!

Hey it's your $, right? Get what you paid for... nothing wrong with that. Esp if you have an orig-type unit and want to keep it first class.

Wing windows and its white!! Very nice. Is white the original color? There is something about the white combined with the black RS grille that really looks sharp but I could be biased.

Yes. It was an off white when we got to some of the original paint that hadn't faded. I was at the shop yesterday, and they were finished with the floor pans and trunk. I think they took the quaters out today. I don't even want to see it until they have the new sheet metal on it.

Ronnie, welcome to TC. Did they rebuild the engine and tranny or just paint them? I have a 67 also. The vent windows had to grow on me, but now I kinda like them. Are you going to try to find new seats or revamp yours? Nice car any way you look at it.

Thanks Charlie. The interior will all be new. I didn't have to replace any foam. New door panels and seat covers. I like the 67 better than all the Camaros because of the vent windows. I didn't rebuild the drivetrain. It aony has 59000 miles and ran like a charm. Might be a mistake, but will see.

Welcome to TC. Not much of a bling person either. . Might give it a second thought on seat foam or buns. Sure makes long trips better, Unless they have been replaced before. Sometimes that foam just crumbles as it ages.
