I'm trying to convert my 69 Camaro to a cable throttle. My Holley TV bracket for a 700r4 interferes with my throttle rod and has provisions for a cable. I know theres options like Lokar pedal conversions and Bowtie Overdrives TV easy set up and others but I'm wondering if a gen 2 camaro throttle pedal and cable would work. I'm just looking for a cheaper way to convert over. Has anybody run into this problem ? Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome to Team Camaro! One of the great things here is the amount of info for the searching. I ran a search on "throttle cable" and got this thread.

2nd Gen will not work. A first gen 6 cyl or a Nova cable will. I have seen them pretty cheap on E-Bay.

Or you can opt to just fab a link to your current throttle pedal to adapt a cable to it like I did mine. If you pull a picture of a throttle pedal for a crossram intake you can see how to make the addition to yours. I used a lokar cable also

My car used to have a 6 cylinders, It now has a 350 engine, but has the original 6 cylinder gas pedal with the throttle cable going to my Holley carburator.

However, when the cable is described as "Cross Ram Throttle Cable" they ask more for it! :)

Thanks for the help guys...I think I'm going to try a 1st gen 6 cyl pedal and a Nova cable and see how that works.

It's fairly simple. The biggest pain will probably be removing the V8 arm and rod. Hopefully the factory dimple for the cable and retaining screw still exists. It is an oblong area about an inch across, angled differently than the metal around it, located under the wiper motor.

70-74 Nova and 69-72 Chevelle pedals bolt right in, and there is even a dimple where you need to drill the hole for the cable to pass thru.
$5 and 10 minutes at a junkyard should get you the parts you need.
