Hey all, I am nearing the end of the floor removal and want to know if I need to replace these parts of the inner rocker on the driver side of the car before installing new floor?

Wow, Johnnyboy, that looks just like mine when I pulled my floor. I would get some sheetmetal and splice that area. Save the old rocker as much as possible.

That rocker section doesn't look so bad at all to me! Maybe cut out some of the very tip and replace it if its not to thin, but it looks to me like if you just remove most of the rust on the lower part of that rocker it will be just fine

I mean look at the rocker panel I have to deal with.

OUCH! What rocker? All I see is a pile of cancer!

When I bought my car, the last owner had torched the outer surface of the rockers out. Just the centers. The upper sills and the lower & inner portions were fine. It was the strangest thing I've seen.

Hey guys, is the inner rocker material double wall thickness or single? The condition is worst then it looks in the pics but for some reason at first and second glance it looks as thou the metal is double wall.

The metal there is actually a flange and joined with the outer skin. This is why you see 2 pieces. Johnnyboy, just how bad is it really? Is it salvagable?

I'll get a better look at it this weekend . Ill pic at it alittle and get a better idea of what condition it is and get back to you. I have the trans hump from the old floor so if I need some sheet metal I have a real nice piece.
