Give a few around you a call, tell them what you need and get a price check. Unreal Apr 23rd, 08, 07:51 PM I think the repro glass is just fine. If you want to date code it, there are companies that will remove the Pilkington logo and replace it with a correct looking LOF logo. If you go that route, I'd take a very critical look at the other glass on your car. I thought my side pieces looked pretty good, so I just bought new windshield and back glass. After I got the new pieces, the rest no longer looked as good. It will cost me almost as much to replace the 4 pieces as the entire set of 6 would have cost. skar Apr 24th, 08, 05:29 AM I think the repro glass is just fine. Joe G Apr 28th, 08, 12:27 PM I ordered all new factory tinted glass directly from Pilkington's a couple of years ago. They still make the original replacement glass. I had it date coded with the original LOF etching (not sure why, but it sounded good at the time). Shipped all 6 pieces to my house for around $600. Check out their website. Go to the Classics link. joe dharvey Apr 28th, 08, 04:53 PM i agree with the above post.last year a got a complete set of tinted glass [green] for my 67 rs/ss from pilkington in columbus, ohio.a little over a grand, but nice, show car quality...good luck..denny skar Apr 28th, 08, 05:41 PM thanks how hard are they to install. dharvey Apr 28th, 08, 06:20 PM in my case,i am no body man.install was pretty much the norm.the side and 1/4 glass were hard for me to adjust but i had never done it before.my car is a 67,so the wing windows were no treat.it takes time and beer to keep your cool.just jump in there and good luck..denny Mud Rat Apr 28th, 08, 11:16 PM Have you tried getting a scratch repair kit for buffing out the scratches or ask a glass shop if they can fix it. I took my truck to one but they said mine was to messed up the farmer that owned it must of been to lazy to put on a new wiper blade and now it has a big scratch I will buy the kit from eastwood and try to fix mine my self.
