3894860NF = 12-bolt, BL = 3.07 ratio, non-posi, 1003 = assembled Oct 3rd, G = Detroit Gear (assembly plant), other #s are not of any importance.

The casting date code (letter (mo) + digits (ddy)) is on the upper left web on the center section as you look from rear ... it will verify the year ... BL is valid for '68 & '69.
