I have a 93 trans am with about 120k on it and my pump has been making noise really really really loud then will stop and the other day the engine kept cutting out on me and dying and the pump was whining and making weird noises so needless to say i am replacing it.

I dont want to drop everything though and was wondering if anyone here has had experience cutting the trunk to get to the pump. Need to know where to do it and how far the tank is down. Any help would be great and if you have pictures that would be better thanks.

Just let me know what you guys think.

This is right behind the rear seats with the carpet peeled back in the center panel.
