Can soneone help with the install procedure for the reverse lock out assembly on my '69. It looked pretty straight forward but when I hooked it all up I couldn't get the tranny into reverse and all the other gears felt rough getting into gear.
Mounted assy on frame. The assy is L shaped. The side with the grommet has the rod that goes to the steering assy tab in the engine compartment. The other side of the L shaped assy secures the rod to the reverse of the tranny. When all hooked up it wont go in reverse and again all other gears feel rough to get in gear.
Do I have to make an adjustment? What gear should the tranny be in when I try to hook up the assy?
Thanks for any help.
