Is a rotisserie used to replace sheetmetal or is it used just to clean and paint the underside? Is a body cart better for sheetmetal work?

IMHO a rotisserie is used any time you have the car off the framme and are doing major restor/paint/cleaning. Its so darn easy to use a roto for most anything when repairing a body.

Now that being said u must brace the hell out of the car if you are doing major body panel replacement, Look up auto rod technologies posts in the body shop section and see how much bracing he put on the 69 he just finished.

If you are doing alot of structural replacement like floors rockers firewall and so forth id use a jig for that portion, but braced properly im doing it all on my roto. Of course mine is a vert, so i need bracing to replace my rear view mirror, (NOT) but you get my drift.

I used a rotessiere on the 69. I installed DSE mini tub kit and quadra link suspension and quarter panels. I liked it because you could standup and grind / weld. If you are replacing all kinds of panels / floorboard / trunk then you want to brace the car very well. They both have there benefits. Do a search on here and a bunch of reading. There is a lot of good info and there is 4 or 5 guys with a bunch of pictures and post an all the work they are doing.
