I am getting ready to put my rear end back in my 69 and I have mono leaf springs . I am putting a 502 engine and a 700R4 tranny ,only for a cruiser and would like some input on the pros and cons of this spring setup. Thanks...

Obviously the singles are lighter. But if you're running them with some HP you'll need some Cal-Tracs or a similar traction device to keep the rear planted instead bouncing around.

Same is true of multi-leafs which will provide a bit more control over the SL's.

FWIW.

I like mono's w/ tuned slapper's and coil-over, overload shocks!

It took me like 3 hours or so to T&T my rear until I got it tuned. Both side to side coil-over-shock overload spring preload and the side-to-side slapper snubber tuned, it left as straight as an arrow.

Old-school CHEAP TOO!
