Does anybody have any pictures of the pipes performance 3 inch side exit exhaust where it exits behind the rear wheels? Maybe from a couple of different angles :D. I'm trying to decide if I will like the way it looks exiting the car there. I suppose a picture of a 2.5 inch system would work also. This is the system I am thinking of getting. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=PYE-SGF63S I want stainless 3 inch with an X pipe and I have mini-tubs with 315 tires so exiting the side behind the rear wheels and not having to go all the way to the back is appealing.
Thanks Lance

Lance, I'm not sure about that system, but I'll bet it will not fit your car if it is not stock. I had all kinds of frustration fitting a Flowmaster "bolt-on" system to my 67. Lowered, inboard mounted shocks, and a big 9" rear caused me to have to splice and dice the whole thing to make it work. I've been running turndowns off the mufflers for quite a while now. Just recentely I have gotten my tailpipes to fit again, but need to finish welding them back together. Anyhow when finished, the tailpipes will exit between the leaf spring and the body just behind the rear wheels, and just barely sticking out.
Almost unseen. The turndowns are cool, but add a lot of noise and blow road dirt all over the underside of the car. You can probably make that system work, but be prepared for some work. Best of luck.

Yup, I have already accepted the fact that there will be some cusomization needed. There almost is always something I have to do to these "kits" to get them to fit the way I want. Thanks for the response!

Ya know Lance, if you haven't pushed the 'buy button', I really like my system from Ram Air Restorations. It's three inch. and it exits out the rear like stock. (for a 69) They built the system with a mandrel. I understand that I may have more room between the spring and quarter panel than your car. But they can tell you. Here's a peek;

Here is a link to a 3" Pypes system installed on a 1st gen. Camaro.

Here is another link, if you want the exhaust to exit straight out the back, which Pypes also offers.
