The XO38 is on a los built car is a plant internal plant code . And has nothing to do with the options on the car. Weekends can be a little slow on responses. but I'm sure some of the #s experts will chime in before long

Ken check #1 again, Vin is wrong... the number after the L needs to be 6 digits. You only show 5. That car will be VERY close to mine. My VIN ends with 505849 and my Trim Tag is 132383 mine was also built in 10d which is 4th week of Oct of 1968. My internal code is X164 which puts them about 126 cars apart. Cousins of sorts :D

Car 1 as posted above is a Los Car and is internal plant code

Car 2 the Motor Numbers dont make any sense if thats a Z/28 and DZ engine

Car 3 The 1 or T 8E Should probably be more like 08E for the build date

Re-check the numbers

Ken... as Jim (click) mentioned... please recheck the VIN off the first car. You're missing a digit.

Car #2 looks OK as far as the Trim Tag matching up with the VIN.

Even missing the last digit you can tell the VIN lines up with the build date on the first car.

My question is are they real Z28's? All the cars are with one owner... Almost to good to be true. Checked numbers frow what I wrote down and could see.... What am I looking at exactly and what is the right money for frame on restored cars? (PAINT JOB)

Not even close to enough info to make that determination.

Spend the $$ and have Jerry MacNeish look at them and *know* what you are buying.
