What do you guys think about this tag and car? It is only about 10 miles from me, so I left a message for the owner to call me back so I can come look at it. Please be very picky!! Already saw the rear with no traction bar, multi leaf springs, spoilers, and the underside and engine bay body color.

eBay Motors: Chevrolet : Camaro (item 120257108894 end time May-12-08 17:57:35 PDT) (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1967-Chevy-Camaro-RS-SS-396-low-miles-fully-restored_W0QQitemZ120257108894QQcmdZViewItem?hash= item120257108894&)

Seems kinda weird to go froma 4 speed to a column shifter? Bench seat is cool though you don't see to many, and it is coded and painted my two favorite colors Marina Blue and Bolero Red!!! Would probably put it back to a 4spd.:D

Don't want to post another thread on the car in the what's it worth section. What do you guys think it is worth? If it has the original block, what bore and stroke, would make a 396 cubic inches, 475 cubic inches? Is that possible?? It has to be at its max.

thanks
Derek

I don't get it. The trim tag says standard interior with bucket seats but it has custom interior with bench seat???? Plus it has head rest and the tag does not show head rest on it.
Also the tag is coded for 4 speed but it is suppose to have a T400 but the column shift indicator shows a 2 speed???

Also trim tag doesn't show the code for the fold down rear seat.

Tag says Marina Blue and car is Red.

NOPE!

The deluxe interior, bench seat, automatic, fold down rear seat, and color change were added during restoration. They do state those items were added and are not original to the car.

In my book "restoration" does not include items or colors not original to the car.

If you are looking for a high dollar non-original car that you never plan on putting back to original then the car is probably a good one.

I would rather build my own if I didn't care about originality.

I like the 5th line of the ad the best

UNMOLESTED.....

The rear springs are a disaster waiting to happen. I count 6 leaves plus a spacer and all in a mono leaf mount ??? what's going to keep that housing from walking around under power ??

Nice clone...sorta. Even I noticed things amiss. Deluxe interior with a dome light??? 12 bolt w/o traction bar? What look to be plastic seat backs on a 4A car? And are those 69 head rests????? Car is more like a restification as opposed to a restoration. Like Rick H above, to me a "restoration" doesn't include things not originally as they were....
