I am putting the rear of my 67 back together. I have both of the rear upper shock mount plates. I cannot find a diagram of which order they go? I know the thicker threaded piece gets welded but need to know whether one goes on top of the tower and one below or what. Both shock towers were replaced so I do not have an example to follow.. Any help is appreciated..

RJ, the one that is 3/8" thick and threaded goes on top and is tack welded to the top of the shock mount. There is another one that has just the holes that mounts to the underside. Make sure you body seal the lower one before bolting it in place. The rubber grommets from the shock will seal the center hole once installed. The trunk pan is actually sandwiched in between them. If you know what I mean.

Thanks. That is what I thought. I have a second 67 SS and it does not have the 3/8" piece on it...
