: Lokar Shifter...

I'm looking into replacing my B&M Hammer Shifter (floor mount with no console) with a Lokar unit. The B&M is cable style. I see that Lokar comes in cable and connecting rod style. Can I go either way on this? It'll be going on a 700R4 from BTO.

Thanks for the input.

Use the connecting rod...it is very easy to install and adjustable too.

I did the same thing using a Lokar rod operated shifter in a 69 with 700R4.

Used the shortest handle they make (6 inch).

I've got lots of pics if you're interested.

Cool, it does work nice.

It's not something normally seen in a 1st gen Camaro, mostly you see them in rods.

Perfect guys...
Thanks for the input.
How does that "button" work out? Nice and smooth operation?

I HATE the lock out lever on my B&M .... almost a two fisted operation.

Thanks Don...
I'd love to see all the pics on that so I can get a feel for it.

Steve, yours came out great!

I'm using a different boot without a console.

Don, yours turned out really nice. I thought about doing a transmission as well but by that time it was already in and it would have been to hard but I like it the way it is now.
