I am looking at 2 different 69 camaro's to buy, one in the rear the z stripes go all the way to the window , and the other curve back down, leaving a space between stripe and rear window molding, wich one is correct, and why is it? Is it cheaper to do the one verses the other, or just quicker?
thanks TEAM CAMARO

I always thought they were suppose to curve to an end and leave a gap b/n the stripe and the window molding ... at least in the front ...

I had ben told that the 69 rear atripes were wider than those on a 67/68 and that they went up to the window a while back. So I had done some searching around then and found the following and book marked it in case I got a 69 and planned to stripe it.

I dunno what to think about that page, and I guess the striping could been off as they said a flub in the stripe dept. But I did notice the strips went to the window, I had always been curious myself as I have seen them both ways also.

Been discussed a ton of times, stripes end before molding, lots of info here for the searching. Here's one three page thread...
