Here at the house we are having quite a heated battle over the final color we will paint the 68.

Heres the conversation:
(Little Lady) I want hot yellow with black deck stripes !
(Me) But yellow and black are everywere, how bout the original ZZ green ? Wouldnt that be cool ?
(Lady) Green ? that sounds ugly....

Help me change this woman, well, at least change her opinion of the ZZ BRG color.
I need some ammo here guys.
I have found two so far. One at Year One and one at the Geocities/Motorcity site.
Note: Yellow and Black looks great. I just think its cool that if I go original the car would be a little differant.
Thanks.

I'm not too knowledgeable on 67/68 color, but there's a real nice Fathom green for 69 #57 You can't see the color too well in my link but have a look.
Check this site out. I can't see a ZZ Green for 68, but I know there is one. http://autocolorlibrary.com/cgi-bin/search/searchpic.pl?1968-chevrolet-pg01.jpg

Theres a pic of my 70 nova with that green on my website. www.angelfire.com/mycars (http://www.angelfire.com/mycars)
I think it's toward the last page or two.
RandyB..

It is a beautiful color and I'm not all that partial to greens myself.

Choptop, thanks. Wish that page had some full car shots.
RandyB, the link did not work for me. I'll try again latter in case it's a limited traffic site.
I am gonna list my Email in the profile in case someone has some pics that are not hosted.
Thanks again.

Gary its Pete Estes 1 of 1 made. Guess when your the top dog of GM you get what you want. It was actually made to presude him to keep the Z/28 in production and since he was a Convt man they made one for him. Can you say cha ching if it ever were to be up for sale. I would think it would bring more than 500K very easy

Also there was a nice write up with pics (full body) in one of the recent mags within the last 2 months.

The 68 Z/28 Convt was in the Winter 2002 issue of Muscle Car Review Has the car on the front cover and a 2 page shot of the entire car. If you cant find the mag let me know and Ill scan the article and send it out to you so you can see the color better

I like the Fathom Green too.
The car's original paint was the ZZ BRG.
So I am trying to get as many pics as I can of BGR.
So far I have very few.
But more will pop up, just a matter of time.

Hey Impzilla!
Do you know of anybody in Memphis who does a good powdercoat job and has an oven big enough for a subframe? I'm a few weeks away from getting the body on a rotator, and taking the subframe apart to have it blasted and coated. Let me know. Thanks.

I vote for British Green!! Unfortunately, my cars out for paint right now (Brit. Green with Erimine White Z stripes!) so all that's really in color is the dashboard and jambs and I don't have any digital pics! http://www.camaros.net/forum/frown.gif

BG is so dark it's almost black from a distance. Definitely my favorite green but I have a bias!!

You might have better luck finding pics of '68 Vettes in this color since this was a Corvette color all year and a Camaro color only for the second half of '68.

Click on 68 camaros on the left, then click on z/28. There are a couple of green ones.

Thanks for all the links and ideas. I have searched for some BRG vettes. It gives a little clue how the car might look.
I really dont know many body shops in town, so I dont have a answer for ya CM.
If you bump into a site with some good pics try to remember me.
