Do you paint the front spoiler black on
a '69 Camaro?

I don't think so, as it's black plastic. I just wax it and keep it clean

You could go over it with some fine sandpaper and then paint it with a semi-gloss black but then you would have the problem with rock chips and having to touch it up all the time, so I agree with TOMSTV that either waxing it or putting something like what you use on your seats would be better to give it a good shine.

I installed a ne one last winter. I agree with TOM, just keep it waxed and clean it after every cruise, so the bugs don't stain it. A little bit of regular cleaning will keep it looking new.
