Greetings All,
I'm looking for a set of seat belts for a 1967 Camaro. I need both front and back but would settle for the front only. Interior is black, but I can dye them.
Any suggestions on the best places to look? (besides fleabay)
It appears as if my Camaro, built in early 67 has never had seat belts. How can I install these once I find some?
Thank you for your help:hurray:

All the aftermarket Camaro parts houses carry reproduction seat belts for the '67. Even though not federally required until '68 I thought all '67s got seat belts.

What kind of cost for reproductions can I expect?

Where the 1967 Seat Belts retractable? Or were they of the non-retractable type?

While the belts displayed in the link below are not "factory"... has anyone used these in their car until a "factory" set comes along (at a good price :) )

In spite of your apparent misgivings, if you're not fussy about date codes, I think eBay is the best way to go. There are several sets on there at all times. If you really don't want to use eBay, but you want original GM belts, Camaro Specialties had several big boxes of them when I was in there a month ago or so.

Rear belts are all non-retractable, although a spring-loaded roll-up device was available as a factory option. In the front, the outer belts (the halves next to the door) are retractable, the ones bolted to the trans tunnel are not.

This won't help you find belts but will give you an idea what's correct... http://www.camaros.org/seatbelt.shtml
Also the use of vintage old belts is not a wise thing in a car that is driven a good deal. 40 yr old webbing may not hold up to the task in the event of an accident. There are places you can get new webbing or the new reproduction belts work well.
