No $$ now for new standard black vinyl interior seat covers for my 69. Any experiences with the vinyl dyes / paints I've seen advertised by Eastwood / others? Do they work? All black standard 69 interior.

This will be an interim-4-5 year - solution.

If previous threads, cool.

Again, many thanks!

don't know yet... I just ordered some vinyl cleaner prep and dye to try out on my door panels and internal rear quarters. I'll post results in the next week or two. I ordered the stuff from NPD. Black

my buckets were dyed with the rattle-can stuff from any of the major parts stores. held up fantastic, they've been dyed for a little over 3 years. follow the instructions and prep the seats right and it'll last 4-5 years easy, i would think.

I used Eastwood's SEM vinyl dye in a spray can. It worked great. The vinyl cleaner and sand free prep made the job really easy.

SEM's vinyl dye is the way to go,and Landau Black is the color you need.
Just make sure you clean, clean and clean again before you do any kind of dye work on anything. And if you can take the seat's apart, don't take the covers off just take the lean back and the cushion apart so you can get everything clean and dyed. And use a good adhesion promoter to help aid in the process,BULLDOG,SEM's are real good ones to use.SEM's also make a real good cleaner to use on them before you dye them.
And as for the other dye's out there they are way too glossy.

Great input and thank you! I have used other SEM products with great results and it looks like I'll give them a shot on this at some point!
