I have a 350 and an Air Gap intake and stock 69-later alternator brackets. The problem is the top bracket that connects to the intake won't mount to the intake. The intake has a mounting spot for the bracket but it puts it out to far from the engine. And the water neck is too high for it to mount to. What bracket set up do you recommend with an Air Gap? Will a shorty big block bracket work?

I ordered a new alt bracket from Advanced Auto becuase my old one was all bent up. It fits on the water neck, I did have to bent the end down on the water neck side becuase of the angle.
